Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS)

The Top Talent Pass Scheme (the TTPS), launched by the HKSAR government, is aimed at talents with good academic qualifications and high income. Once approved, applicants can experience working and living in Hong Kong for the next 24 months.

The TTPS officially opened for applications on 28 December 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

• Category A: persons with annual income reaching HK$2.5 million or above, or its equivalent in foreign currency, in the year immediately preceding the date of application
• Category B: degree graduates of the world's top 100 universities with at least three years of work experience over the past five years immediately preceding the date of application
• Category C: degree graduates of the world's top 100 universities in the past five years immediately preceding the date of application with less than three years of work experience, subject to an annual quota which is to be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis

Applicants must have no criminal record or adverse immigration record in Hong Kong or elsewhere.

Limit of Stay

Persons admitted under the TTPS will normally be granted an initial stay of 24 months, and may apply for extension of stay within 4 weeks before their limit of stay expires. Successful applicants will normally be permitted to remain on time limitation only without other conditions of stay on the 3-3 year pattern.

Changing Employment

Persons admitted under the TTPS are free to take up and change employment or to establish or join in business in the HKSAR during their permitted stay without the need to seek prior approval from the Director of Immigration.
